On 29th of July, AIDOT, a medical AI company, announced that it was finally selected for the 'AI convergence medical image reading system support project' hosted by the Health
Insurance Review and Assessment Service and the National IT Industry Promotion Agency.
The company will develop an artificial intelligence solution in the field of ureteral stones for two years with the professors of the department of emergency at Hanyang University
Hospital and Seoul National University Bundang Hospital.
On 28th of July, AIDOT demonstrated its own artificial intelligence-based carotid artery ultrasound stroke pre-diagnosis system, SONO dot AI, at the ‘Artificial Intelligence Convergence AI+X Project Medical Data Utilization Demonstration Lab Opening Ceremony’.
The event was attended by Prime Minister Kim Boo-gyum, as well as key figures from the Ministry of Science and ICT, the Ministry of Health and Welfare, the Ministry of Food and
Drug Safety, the Health Insurance Review and Assessment Service, and the National IT Industry Promotion Agency (NIPA).
At the event, AIDOT, Crescom, and JLK were selected for the project.
Also, AIDOT CEO Jae-hoon Jeong said, "Korea's excellent artificial intelligence solution developed with the support of the Ministry of Science and ICT will accelerate its overseas
expansion by securing not only domestic but also global competitiveness."
