[View original text]

On 7th of March, AIDOT (CEO Jae-hoon Jeong) announced that the research results of its artificial intelligence (AI)-based cervical cancer screening system ‘Cerviray AI’, were

published in ‘MDPI Healthcare 2022’, an SCI-level international academic journal.

The journal, co-written by Professor Sung-min Kim of Cha Medical University and Professor Jae-yoon Song, Hwa-jung Lee, Jae-kwan Lee and Nak-woo Lee of Korea University's

obstetrics and gynecology department, deals with 'Role of Artificial Intelligence Interpretation of Quality Magnifier Imaging in Cervical Cancer Screening'.

According to the journal, even experienced colposcope experts showed a significant increase in sensitivity when they got help from AI. In particular, the researchers stressed that the applicability of the AI system and AI interpretation in cervical cancer screening can be used as an auxiliary tool for visual evaluation through colposcope.

In addition, it suggested that AI could lower high medical barriers in low-income or developing countries that lack medical infrastructure.

While conventional cervical screening methods require significant costs to have infrastructure such as professional medical personnel and screening facilities, for Cerviray AI, it only

needs the sever to utilize AI after receiving the data from its portable device, its infrastructure construction costs are relatively low.

For this reason, Cerviray AI is expected to be useful for patients in underdeveloped or developing countries as it enables remote medical treatment without a specialist on site.

Garam Lim, head of global sales and marketing at AIDOT said, "Love calls are coming from several countries to AIDOT recently, including Indonesia, Philippines, Vietnam, India, and

Latin American countries led by Cerviray AI features and functions, and some Southeast Asian countries, including Indonesia, will speed up their entry into the global market ahead of

official exports in the first half of this year."
